ACF Sailing - Coaches Training Weekend Feb 2018

19 Feb 2018 by Matt Grier

This weekend the Andrew Cassell Foundation in partnership with the Cowes Corinthian Yacht Club (CCYC) hosted an RYA Keelboat Racing Coach Level 2 course.

Our aim is to develop opportunities for individuals in Keelboats and Yachting for disabled people who fit between the lines needing an introduction to the sport, further coaching, have limited personal support needs, independently motivated individuals, who are wanting to develop into regular sailors in an every day club racing environment with true equality racing against and with able bodied people, plus much more.

The purpose for training as Keelboat coaches was not for a qualification but to up skill all ready knowledgeable supports to help improve there communication and development skills to increase the learning curve of ACF Sailors and club members.

Thanks to all who supported both candidates, the RYA Coach tutors and our biggest supporter the CCYC.

If your reading this and interested in taking part as a sailor or supporter then do get in touch via info@acfsailing.org or sign up to our app and touch base with the team.
