The Second Fairwinds Fine Art Exhibition - is now underway!

Sue Garlick writes: Following the very successful first exhibition of works from Island artists a second exhibition will be held on the 26th, 27th and 28th April at Cowes Yacht Haven.

After meeting with Matt Grier at CCYC where John was hoping to be able to encourage sailors to race with ECSC on a Thursday evening and Sunday morning during the sailing season, John was so inspired by the work carried out by ACF that he wanted to support them in some way.

John began organising the first exhibition but unfortunately he became very ill and passed away before his dream came to fruition.

However, the family talked and decided they would carry on and make the exhibition John’s legacy and hold it biennially. The first event held at the Cowes Corinthian Yacht Club in 2022 was very successful and was enjoyed and supported by a good number of guests at the Open Evening and over the weekend.

This year it will be held at Cowes Yacht Haven on Friday 26th (Open Evening and party), Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th April. We have thirteen Island artists exhibiting their work and on the Friday evening which is a ticketed event, there will be an auction of works of art, raffle, canapés and drink. The artists donate a piece of work for the auction and all proceeds go to ACF.

Spinlock support us at each event, and this year Cowes Yacht Haven and All About Catering have joined our team.
