Dear Sailors, Volunteers & Supporters,

Last weekend we braved the storm but from within the CCYC club house but we can’t thank every one enough for this year. Through out the year, we’ve had the best sailing conditions for learning and supporting each other and growing the team, followed by an amazing evening on the Saturday evening for our ACF team in the Cowes Corinthian Yacht Club with such amazing food made by the wonderful Sally Cass from the Duke of York.

The evening was our first ever yearly awards night. Starting off with some lovely speeches by Andy Cassell, Patron and founder of ACF, whose kindly presented our trophies.

We also had the honour of Barry Hocking (Elizabeth Wood’s Father) who also kindly present our brand new memorial trophy in her name. He was supposed to be in person but was unable to attend due to the ferries were not running.

This inspired the many who did not make it for the same reason to join us on Zoom and be part of the night where we gave the large screen over to Barry to present this fantastic award. Certainly something i think will do more of in the future.
